This was in Istanbul city-centre in May 2005 when I was 10. So many Liverpool fans took flights to Istanbul, meaning we had to fly to Bodrum (southern Turkey) and take a 12 hour bus ride to Istanbul. I remember being mesmerized by the whole occasion, and then being in floods of tears at half time. We sang our hearts out and witnessed the Miracle of Istanbul. I was crying again on the bus home from the match, but this time it was happy tears!
